1. Hazelnut
Different types of nuts are known to have many health benefits. Hazelnuts are special nuts which are renowved for maintaining a healthy heart. Hazelnut contains oleic acid and omega-9 fatty acids that can lower blood pressure, prevent strokes, and save you from a heart attack. Daily consumption of 30 grams of hazelnuts helps increase cholesterol and lower the amount of bad cholesterol. They also help to prevent the accumulation of plaque in the arteries.

2. Garlic
Garlic is known well for lowering blood pressure and removing blockages in the arteries . It can lower the amount of bad cholesterol and lowering blood pressure. A study also proved that eating garlic for four weeks can lower the bad cholesterol by 12 % . Garlic also helps purify the blood and prevent blood clots leading to strokes.

3. Flaxseed
Flaxseeds contain omega-3 fatty acids which are known potent to prevent heart disease. Consuming flaxseed mixed with other foods provides great benefits for one's heart.

4. Red beans
Red beans are rich in omega- 3 fatty acids which are known to reduce bad cholesterol, help cleanse the arteries and lower blood pressure. A recent study revealed that eating four servings of beans per week can reduce heart disease by 22 %. If you want to eat red beans, mix with some spices such as ginger, turmeric, and basil to reduce the resulting excessive gas production.
